Well look here, what have I gone and done! Binny has signed herself up for the 2016 Bodybuilding.com Transformation Challenge!!

What is the Transformation Challenge I hear you cry? Well I shall tell you…

12 weeks of clean eating and working your butt off for the chance to win $100,000

There are also 5 prizes $10,000 for people picked by the public as well as weekly challenge prizes of gym stuff (supplements, equipment, shirts etc)

You can submit your before photos from Dec 27th until Jan 10th so as soon as that email comes through my photos will be going up. I registered last year too and did great for a few first weeks but had only really just started reading up on proper nutrition and such so struggled to plan and stick to plan.

This year is going to be different. I’ve planned. And planned. And planned. I’ve ordered (and received!) all my protein powders, workout drinks, meal prep tubs etc. I’ve got my 12 week gym plan ready to go too!

I am going to start on January 1st (yes..I’m one of THOSE people…) and plod on through until April 3rd.

GOALS

* Complete full 12 weeks of gym plan
* Track macros to within 5-10%
* Complete EVERY weekly challenge
* Lose weight
* Gain muscle
* Feel awesome

And that’s it. I’m not going to put any numbers on it (not right now anyway) as I’d like to just LOOK and FEEL better in my appearance rather than solely panic about a little (or not so little) number.

Hello July!

Oh dear well I don’t know about you guys but I’ve missed you! I’ve been so busy with work, home, family and friends that this (and my diet – we’ll get to that!) has taken a back seat! But it’s ok, I’m here now. Don’t panic lovelies.

So what has happened? Well, I’ve been out and about quite a bit! I had time off work so stayed with friends for a few days – I had an epic time but my waistline did not! Oh the horror when I returned to chub club to be told I gained half a stone – oops! I had fun though so that’s ok, right?? I don’t think there was anything we didn’t eat : BBQ, cider, american diner burgers, pizza, cake, sweets, more cake, more cider, oh dear!

Been out for a few meals here and there too – pizza, Mexican, harvester! But again it was fun, the company was amazing and as always “life before diet” – what’s the point in being skinny if it means missing out on all the good stuff!

So I have returned and I’m going to kick butt! My mum and her partner have been dieting too – not Slimming World but a VLCD called Exante! Since February they’ve lost almost 10stone between them!

Well I fancied a bit of that, just to lose my gain and maybe a headstart as am so close to my end goal now. It’s been hard – you have three “meal packs” a day and that is it! (Give or take a few slightly different plans) Well I’ve started and restarted a few times but am really going for it this time! I have set myself an 11 week challenge to try and hit goal! So far I am almost one whole week in but unfortunately weigh in for this doesn’t tie in with weigh in for Slimming World. Oh well. Official Exante weigh is tomorrow! Slimming world was yesterday however and there I lost 5 mahoosive pounds!! Aw yeh!

It is getting easier to stick to it as well, your body goes in to ketosis where you are low carb so burn fat rapidly (ish) and the hunger just goes away – cool huh? There are a few different plans too which I’m trying out and so far it’s helped me stick to it far better!

Total Solution – 3 packs
Total Solution+ – 3 packs plus 100cals low-carb veg off a list
Working Solution – 3 packs plus 400cals low-carb meal/snacks
Simple Solution – 3 packs plus 600cals meal

I’ve so far done a bit of everything as, especially with work, it’s hard to support someone to go for a meal and not eat with them! (I support adults with learning disabilities for those who don’t know) So on those days I have had the 400/600 calories! Heck, I’ve lost 5lb don’t knock it!

Falling Off The Wagon

I gained 1lb last week which was fully deserved and I was ok with it, honest!

This week was meant to be straight back on! Sadly that has not been the case. I am not sure what is going on but I’ve been sneaking in extras. Oops.

First three weeks for example, if i weighed out 40g of cheese then the extra 5g went away. I’ve started eating it! I’ve been dipping in the fridge too. Again, mostly cheese.

Then there’s tonight. Another night shift. I do wonder if that’s the issue too. I was already on 11 syns before work (only meant to have 9!) so brought free things.

So far so good right?

Then I had milk in my coffee. Coffee mate too. Then some cheese sauce. And a bag of mini chocolate fingers!! The horror!!

Tomorrow will be a 5 syn day. Then Monday also. Finally I can weigh Tuesday morning and start afresh.

I really need to work out what’s going wrong at the moment. I know night shifts are hard so will save syns throughout the day on those days to have in the night. But that doesn’t solve the gradual picking.

Am I losing motivation? Why? Am I bored? Lazy? Whatever it is it needs to stop and I need to go back to those first weeks of excitement.
